2013-14 Men's Golf Schedule

Fresh off of a second straight NCAA Championship appearance, the Auburn men's golf team has set its schedule for the upcoming season, head coach Nick Clinard has announced.

"We are excited about the 2013-14 season and look forward to competing among the best," Clinard said. "Our schedule takes us to different parts of the nation and will test our players mentally and physically. It's going to be a fun and exciting season!"

Auburn will play in four fall tournaments, beginning with the Carpet Capital Collegiate in Dalton, Ga., Sept. 6-8. The team will follow that up with the Wolf Run in Zionsville, Ind., Sept. 21-22. A pair of October tournaments round out the fall, playing the Jerry Pate Invitational in Birmingham (Oct. 7-8) and the US Collegiate in Alpharetta, Ga. (Oct. 18-20).

Auburn played in the Carpet Capital Collegiate, the Jerry Pate Invitational and the US Collegiate last season, garnering a pair of top-10 team finishes, which included a third-place finish at the Jerry Pate Invitational.

Auburn will play seven tournaments in the spring, starting with the Amer Ari Invitational in Waikoloa, Hawai'I Feb. 6-8. The following week the team will be in Mobile for the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate, an event that last year saw Niclas Carlsson win the individual title and Auburn the team title.

The month of March will be a busy one as the team plays the USF Invitational in Dade City, Fla. (March 2-4), plays host to the Tiger Invitational at Grand National (March 10-11) and travels to Awendaw, S.C., for the Hootie at Bulls Bay (March 23-25).

The final month of the regular season will take Auburn to the UK Bluegrass Invitational, Apr. 12-13, in Lexington, Ky., and the Capital City Club Collegiate Invitational, Apr. 19 in Alpharetta, Ga.

The SEC Championship returns to Sea Island, Ga., Apr. 25-27 and Auburn will be one of the hosts for regionals, which will take place May 15-17 at the AU Club. The NCAA Championships are May 27-June 1 at Prairie Dunes in Wichita, Kan.
