Former Tiger Jay Moseley Ties For 13th At The 2009 Southern Amateur

AUBURN - Former Auburn golfer Jay Moseley (-7) carded a final round 73 to tie for 13th at the 2009 Southern Amateur held July 15-18 at the par-72, 7,336-yard Colonial Country Club South Course in Cordova, Tenn.

Moseley completed round three on Saturday morning after play was suspended Friday night due to darkness.  The 2008-09 Auburn golf graduate assistant earned a third round 69.

Moseley was a first-team All-SEC selection as a senior in 2007-08. During his senior campaign, he led all Tigers in seven tournaments and finished with a stroke average of 71.83, the fifth lowest single-season average in school history.

Auburn senior Cole Moreland (78-287) finished tied for 33rd at 1-under followed by former Tigers Glenn Northcutt (74-289) and Will Swift (76-294) in 43rd and 67th, respectively.  Sophomore John Stembridge (77-296) tied for 70th.
