Two Former Tigers Make Top-15 On Pro Tours

AUBURN - Two former Auburn All-Americans put together solid tournaments this weekend on the professional stage - Jason Dufner at the PGA Tour Stanford St. Jude Championship and Reid Edstrom at the Nationwide Tour Rex Hospital Open.

Dufner, a 1997 All-American, found himself at 3-under 137 and in six-way tie for the lead after the second round at the St. Jude, held at par-70 TPC Southwind in Memphis.

After rounds of 72 and 71, Dufner dropped three strokes to finish tied for 13th at even par, taking home $109,200 in earnings. The top-15 finish increased Dufner's yearly earnings to $131,796 and his career total to $1,908,517.

At the Rex Hospital Open, 1998 All-American Reid Edstrom tied the tournament record for low third-round score with an 8-under 63.

With a 54-hole total of 205, Edstrom started the fourth round in a tie for ninth and would advance two more spots by the end of the day with a 70, finishing the event at 9-under. He took home $19,438 in earnings.

Also making the cut at the Rex Hospital open were former Tigers Jon Rusk(-5) in a tie for 27th and Bryant MacKellar (+4) in a tie for 65th.
