AUBURN -- Auburn golfer Jackson Beindorf was selected to the SEC Community Service Team, the Southeastern Conference announced on Wednesday.

Beindorf has volunteered several times with the Richland Elementary School After-School Program, and visited Cary Woods Elementary School to meet students to get them excited about reading. While volunteering at the Downtown Trick or Treat event in Auburn, Beindorf signed autographs and passed out candy to local children.

The Vero Beach, Fla., native also read to students at Auburn Early Education Center, and was a men’s golf representative for the Auburn Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

The SEC names a Community Service Team for each of its 21 league-sponsored sports, looking to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his community through superior service efforts.
