AUBURN - The Auburn men's golf team tees off Thursday at the NCAA South Central Regional at the par-72, 7,250-yard Traditions Golf Club in Bryan, Texas.

Senior Cole Moreland will lead the Tigers in the No. 1 position at the three-day, 54-hole event. Sophomores Kyle Kopsick, Will McCurdy, John Stembridge and David Zickler will hold the Nos. 2 through 5 spots, respectively.

The top five teams and top individual not on those teams qualify for the 113th NCAA Men's Golf Championship at The Honors Course in Chattanooga, Tenn., June 1-6.

"You always go to play well and play to win," said Auburn head coach Nick Clinard. "We're not there to finish fifth. A win at regionals is always a tremendous achievement and a nice feather in the cap for the winning players.

"Priority one since the SEC Championships was the classroom. Since finals we've had a little time to relax and reflect on the season while working on our individual strengths as we prepare for the final stretch."

No. 2 Texas A&M is the top seed, followed by No. 13 Texas Tech, No. 12 Georgia, No. 22 North Florida, No. 21 TCU, Pepperdine, Auburn, North Carolina, Baylor, Tulsa, Rice, Wichita State, Georgetown and Jackson State.

The Tigers will tee off the front nine at 8:50 a.m. CST with North Carolina and Baylor. Live scoring will be made available via www.GolfStat.com.
