Michael Johnson is 7-under after two rounds of the 66th Azalea Invitational at the Country Club of Charleston and is tied for the lead heading into Saturday's third round.
Johnson, who is redshirting at Auburn this season, fired a 69 on Thursday and a 66 on Friday. His first round included five birdies and three bogeys while Friday's round included seven birdies against two bogeys. He has birdied the first, fifth and ninth holes in both rounds and finished Friday's round with birdies on the 17th and 18th holes.
Johnson is the only player in the field to shoot in the 60s in each of the first two rounds.
Saturday's third round begins at 7 a.m. CT and the field will be cut to the low 60 plus ties for Sunday's final round, which begins at 7:30 a.m.
