PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Former Auburn All-American Blayne Barber is tied for 21st after the first two rounds of his first career PGA Tour tournament, the Northern Trust Open, held at the Riviera Country Club. Barber is 3-under, six shots behind co-leaders Sang-Moon Bae and Frederick Jacobson.

Barber qualified for the tournament by winning the Monday qualifier with a 7-under 65 held at the Industry Hills Golf Club’s Eisenhower Course in City of Industry, Calif.

Barber began the day with a birdie on No. 1, but bogeyed No. 4 before firing a birdie on No. 7 to make the turn at 1-under. On the back nine, Barber birdied No. 10 before carding an eagle on the par-5 11. Barber finished the round 1-under after bogeying No. 15 and a double bogey on No. 16.
