    AUBURN – Former Auburn All-American Blayne Barber qualified for the Northern Trust Open, his first PGA Tour event of his career, by winning with a 7-under 65 in the Monday qualifier held at the Industry Hills Golf Club’s Eisenhower Course in City of Industry, Calif.

    The Northern Trust Open will begin play on Thursday at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., where Barber played in his final tournament as an Auburn Tiger, finishing tied for seventh at even par at the 2012 NCAA Championship.

    Also joining Barber in the field at the Northern Trust Open will be former Auburn golfer Will Claxton. Coverage of the tournament can be seen on the Golf Channel beginning at 2:00 p.m. CT on Thursday and on www.pgatour.com.
