Carlsson Tied For Ninth After Two Rounds At US Collegiate

Niclas Carlsson is tied for ninth place after a second-round 69 at the US Collegiate Championship. As a team Auburn shot a second-day 285 to move up from 14th place to 11th.

Carlsson collected five birdies on the day, three on the front nine and two on the back, to shoot a second round 69 to stand at 3-under par, tied with three others.

Matt Gilchrest shot a 2-under 70 on Saturday, collecting birdies on the par-4 second, 12th and 15th holes. He also carded an eagle on the par-5 ninth. After two rounds he is tied for 29th.

Jake Mondy and Victor Henum both shot 1-over 73s on Saturday while Daniel Stringfellow shot a plus-3 75. Mondy is tied for 41st, Henum is tied for 51st and Stringfellow is tied for 67th with one round remaining.

Ollie Schniederjans of Georgia Tech is the individual leader at 9-under while No. 5 Oklahoma State leads the team competition at minus-11.
