ZIONSVILLE, Ind. - The Auburn men's golf is in third place heading into Sunday's final round of the Wolf Run Intercollegiate at the Wolf Run Golf Club in Zionsville, Ind. Auburn shot a 297 in Saturday's first round and a 294 in Saturday's second round and goes into Sunday's round three shots behind Kentucky for second place.
Matt Gilchrest heads into the final round tied for eighth after shooting 73-72--145 on Saturday while Jake Mondy shot 74-73--147 and is tied for 11th. Niclas Carlsson is three stroke behind Mondy, tied for 22nd (73-77--150), while Daniel Stringfellow is tied for 27th (77-74--151) and Will Long is tied for 34th (78-75--153).
Playing as an individual, Victor Henum is tied for fifth after his 74-70--144, which is just six shots behind overall leader Thomas Detry of Illinois (69-69--138).
Illinois leads the team competition at minus-5 (282-281--563) while Kentucky is in second at plus-20 (299-289--588) in the 14-team tournament.
The tournament concludes on Sunday with one round. The final round starts at 7:30 a.m. CT.
