FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - The No. 6 Auburn men's golf team leads after the first round of The McLaughlin at the historic Bethpage State Park Red Course on Saturday. The second round of play was halted due to darkness.

The Tigers lead Harvard and Johnson and Wales by six strokes after shooting a 1-under 279. Louisville (+6) and Florida Southern (+8) round out the top-5.

Redshirt freshman Jake Mondy, in his first career tournament, is in second place, one stroke off the lead after carding a 3-under 67.

Seniors Dominic Bozzelli and Michael Hebert are in the top-10 after solid first rounds. Bozzelli is tied for sixth at 1-under while Hebert is tied for 10th at even par.

At 3-over par, senior David Zickler is tied for 31st. Junior Niclas Carlsson is tied for 69th at 7-over.

The Tigers will tee off Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. CT with Louisville, West Florida and Johnson and Wales.
