No. 23 Auburn One Stroke Off Lead At Bulls Bay

No. 23 Auburn golf shot a second round-low 294 to go into Tuesday's final round one stroke off the lead at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate in Awendaw, S.C. Niclas Carlsson shot a plus-1, 73, and goes into the final round tied for fourth, two shots behind the leaders.

Carlsson shot even-par on the front nine with two birdies and two bogeys and then had a birdie and a bogey on the back nine to finish the round plus-1. After two rounds he is 1-under.

Matt Gilchrest matched Carlsson's 73 and is just one stroke behind him after two rounds, tied for ninth. He also had two birdies and two bogeys on the front nine and then had two birdies and three bogeys on the back nine. After two rounds he stands at even-par.

Jake Mondy is tied for 19th at plus-2 after a second-round 74 and Will Long is a stroke behind him at plus-3 after a second round 74, placing him tied for 21st. Daniel Stringfellow is tied for 38th after a second-round 79.

No. 10 Virginia leads the team competition after a second-round 295, which put it at plus-2 after two rounds. No. 24 South Carolina and the College of Charleston are both tied with Auburn at plus-3 and Wake Forest is fifth at plus-5.

Zach Munroe of College of Charleston and Brandon Robinson-Thompson of USC-Aiken are the individual leaders at minus-3.
