6.  You can take in a Braves game while you’re in town.  While the football season is just kicking off, the Braves head into the last month of Chipper Jones' Hall of Fame career in the middle of an exciting pennant race. 8.  Merchandise will be available in FanZone and the Georgia Dome on game day.  Whether you’re looking for some just team-branded, or a memento of the Kickoff Game, there will be chances to get your gear in FanZone and the Dome.  Game programs have sold out early the past two years, so buy as soon as you get in the building.

9.  Friday night is Fan Night.  Right downtown, next to Centennial Olympic Park, there are two attractions that are offering you a special admission.  The Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coke both offer special pricing and offers for fans.  Details are available at

10.  WHO WILL WEAR THE OLD LEATHER HELMET?  It’s a tradition almost 100 years in the making.  The trophy for the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game is called “The Old Leather Helmet,” an old-school leather football helmet that celebrates the origins and toughness of the game.  Don’t be surprised to see The Old Leather Helmet worn and passed from player to player post game on the field.  You can get your picture taken wearing The Old Leather Helmet at FanZone.
