It had never happened... Alabama playing a football game at Auburn. That is until December 2, 1989 when the Tigers welcomed 2nd-ranked an undefeated Alabama to Jordan-Hare Stadium. With emotions running high, Auburn spoiled any chance of an undefeated season as the Tigers defeated Alabama 30-20.
