Another day, another wave of national awards for Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. -- Gus Malzahn, the player with the most memorable play of the college football season and Auburn's Heisman Trophy finalist won more honors Tuesday. 

CBSSports.com named Malzahn its coach of the year, yet another top coaching honor for the Auburn coach. Malzahn has also won the Home Depot and Eddie Robinson coach of the year awards, among others.

Chris Davis was named first-team All-American as the punter returner by CBS. Davis leads the SEC in punt returns, but will be best remembered as the player who returned a missed field goal 109 yards for the game-winning touchdown on the last play of the game to beat Alabama. Davis was also named second-team All-SEC by ESPN.com.

Tailback Tre Mason, fresh off his trip to New York for the Heisman Trophy announcement, was named second-team All-American by the Associated Press, CBSSports.com and SportsIllustrated.com on Tuesday. He was also named first-team All-SEC by ESPN.com

SportsIllustrated.com named tackle Greg Robinson second-team All-American. AP put him on its third team. 

Also Tuesday...

Center Reese Dismukes was named third-team All-American by the AP, which will name its coach of the year Dec. 23. Dismukes was also named second-team All-SEC by ESPN.com

SportsIllustrated.com named Davis and defensive end Dee Ford to its All-American honorable mention team.
