AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn senior defensive end Antonio Coleman has been named a third-team All-American by Phil Steele Publications, it was announced Wednesday.

Coleman, a first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection by the league's media and coaches as well as several publications, led the SEC with 9.0 sacks and 15.5 tackles for loss this season. He collected 45 total tackles, an interception which he returned for a touchdown against Mississippi State, a blocked kick, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Coleman ranks third in Auburn history with 23.5 career sacks, and was named the SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week this season following his performances against Mississippi State and Ole Miss.

Coleman and the Tigers (7-5) will take on Northwestern (8-4) on Jan. 1 in the Outback Bowl in Tampa, Fla. The game will kick off at 10 a.m. CT from Raymond James Stadium and be nationally televised by ESPN.
