Auburn Toughs Out First Morning Practice
December 16, 2002
"We practiced late yesterday and came back early this morning," said Tuberville. "Two practices within a 14 or 15-hour time span makes it tough to keep the enthusiasm. The weather was a little warmer today. We'll have better practices the next three days.
"It's going to be very important that our seniors keep this group going strong for the next few practices so we can go home and know exactly what we're supposed to do when we return for the bowl practices in Orlando."
The 19th-ranked Tigers, 8-4, will face 10th-ranked Penn State, 9-3, in the Capital One Bowl on Jan. 1.
"The coaches have done a good job between managing recruiting and putting the game plan together. They've had a lot of late hours, and they're looking forward to having a few days off to spend time with their families before Christmas, but right now, we've got to grind for three more days."
Tickets to the Capital One Bowl may be purchased by calling 1-800-AUB-1957, extension 1, or by ordering over the Internet atwww.auburntigers.com through Dec. 31. Tickets can also be purchased at the athletic ticket office inside of Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum.
Ticket office hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The ticket office will remain open through Friday, December 20.
Auburn will return to the practice fields Tuesday with a 10:15 a.m. session.
