AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn center Reese Dismukes, who has helped his Tigers to the top of the NCAA rushing charts, is a finalist for the Rimington Award, which honors college football's top offensive lineman.
He's one of six finalists for the award. The winner will be announced Dec. 12.
"I would like to thank my teammates, coaches and my family because without all fo them it would not be possible," Dismukes said.
Dismukes is the man in the middle of Auburn's run game.
"I have to believe our offensive line is one of the best in college football," said coach Gus Malzahn. "Teams are knowing we’re going to run it and our offensive line has done a great job."
Auburn leads the nation with 4,364 rushing yards and 46 rushing touchdowns. The Tigers have two 1,000-yard rushers in Tre Mason and Nick Marshall.
Other finalists are Oregon's Hroniss Grasu, Oklahoma's Gabe Ikard, Utah State's Tyler Larsen, Florida State's Bryan Stork and Arkansas' Travis Swanson.
