AUBURN, Ala. -- Reese Dismukes, the man in the middle of Auburn's offense the last four years, was named Thursday a semifinalist for the Outland Award, which goes to the nation's top interior lineman.

The Auburn center has started a team-best 47 straight games over the last four seasons.

Dismukes was a nominee for various awards in the preseason, just like in most of his career. It began when he was named to the SEC's All-Freshman team in 2011. He picked up national acclaim after that. The Outland finalists will be announced Tuesday.

The other semifinalists are Oregon's Jake Fisher, Iowa's Brandon Scherff, Texas' Malcolm Brown, Baylor's Spencer Drango and Florida State's Tre' Jackson.
Dismukes, and 26 other Tigers, will suit up for their final game in Jordan-Hare Stadium when Auburn meets Samford at 6 p.m. Saturday.
