Auburn Football Practice Report
Nov. 18, 2009
Auburn, Ala. - The Auburn football team returned from a two-day break with an 80 minute practice session Wednesday night behind the Auburn Athletic Complex. Touching on all phases, offense, defense and special teams, the Tigers practiced in cool temperatures Wednesday. Auburn head coach Gene Chizik came away pleased with the Tigers' practice and noted the two off days provided the team with an additional boost. "I thought we were really focused," Chizik said. "Having a little time off, I thought they had a little pep in their step. It was a good practice." After playing 11 consecutive games, the Tigers will be off Saturday before their annual game against Alabama. Auburn will practice again Thursday afternoon and Friday before taking Saturday off. "Obviously, we have a little bit of time (with the bye week), so we are trying to clean some things up from last week and prepare for a great Alabama team," Chizik said. Auburn (7-4, 3-4 SEC) will take on No. 2 Alabama (10-0, 7-0 SEC) next Friday, Nov. 27, at 1:30 p.m. CT. The game will be televised nationally by CBS.
