AUBURN, Ala. -
The Auburn football team continued preparations for Saturday's Homecoming contest with a two-hour practice Wednesday afternoon on the practice fields behind the Athletics Complex.
The Tigers worked out in shells on Wednesday, following their typical routine. The practice started with special teams drills before the squad moved on to individual and position drills. After more special teams work, the offense and defense spent several periods working against the scout teams.
Following practice, head coach Gene Chizik said that the Tigers have had productive practices so far this week.
"We've had good practice both days, yesterday and today," said Chizik. "I thought we had a lot of energy, which at this time of the year is good to see. I thought we were very focused over the last two days. We're excited to play this week."
The Tigers will return to the practice fields Thursday at 4:30 p.m. CT.
Auburn (6-3, 3-3 SEC) and Furman (4-4, 3-3 Southern Conference) will kick off at 12:30 p.m. this Saturday from Jordan-Hare Stadium. The game will be a pay-per-view broadcast available in Alabama and South Carolina to cable subscribers and small dish owners who subscribe to DirecTV or Dish Network.
Fans should contact their local cable provider or small dish provider to order the game. Other home dish owners should call 1-800-TV-Stars to order the game.
