Auburn in the NFL--Week Eight

Devin Aromashodu, wide receiver- Chicago Bears Aromashodu was a healthy scratch for the Bears in week eight. He has yet to accumulate any stats this season for the Bears. Rob Bironas, kicker- Tennessee Titans Bironas hit field goal attempts of 48, 25, and 45 yards in the Titan’s 30-13 defeat of Jacksonville. He is now 10-of-12 on the year on field goals and has 10 PAT’s. Ronnie Brown, running back- Miami Dolphins Brown rushed 11 times for 27 yards and added one reception for two yards against the Jets in Week eight. He is now 11th in the NFL in rushing with 518 yards on the ground this year and is averaging 74 yards per game. Jason Campbell, quarterback-Washington Redskins The Redskins had a bye in week eight. Tim Carter, wide receiver- St. Louis Rams Carter was inactive for the Rams in a 17-10 win over Detroit. Karlos Dansby, linebacker-Arizona Cardinals Dansby had 12 tackles in a 34-21 loss to Carolina in week eight. He ranks 28th in the league with 51 tackles this season. King Dunlap, offensive line- Philadelphia Eagles Dunlap saw limited action on special teams in a week eight win over the Giants. Heath Evans, running back- New Orleans Saints Evans tore his ACL in the fourth quarter of an Oct. 25 win over the Miami Dolphins when he was tackled near the sideline after catching a short pass from Drew Brees. He was placed on injured reserve, ending his season. Tyronne Green, guard- San Diego Chargers Green was inactive in the Chargers’ 24-16 win over Oakland on Sunday. Groves had one tackle in Jacksonville’s 30-13 loss to Tennessee. Ben Grubbs, guard-Baltimore Ravens Grubbs started at left guard as the Ravens racked up 292 total yards in the Ravens 30-7 win over Denver. Will Herring, linebacker-Seattle Seahawks Herring had an assisted tackle in a 38-17 loss to Dallas. He now is seventh on the Seahawks in tackles with 23. Kevin Hobbs, defensive back- Detroit Lions Hobbs had three stops in a 17-10 loss to the Rams on Sunday. Roderick Hood, defensive back- Tennessee Titans Hood started at cornerback for the Titans’ and registered five tackles, an interception, and a pass deflection in the Titans 30-13 defeat of Jacksonville. The interception came right before half time on a pass intended for Torry Holt, and was returned for 17 yards. Brandon Jacobs, running back- New York Giants Jacobs rushed 20 times for 86 yards and caught two passes for 21 yards in Sunday's loss to the Eagles. Spencer Johnson, defensive lineman-Buffalo Bills Johnson had five tackles in Buffalo’s 31-10 loss to Houston. He saw increased action in week eight due to several defensive line injuries on the Buffalo defensive front. Patrick Lee, defensive back-Green Bay Packers Lee was placed on injured reserve on Sept. 5 with a knee injury, ending his season. Sen’Derrick Marks, defensive lineman-Tennessee Titans Marks was active, but did not record any tackles in Tennesse’s 30-13 defeat of Jacksonville. Marcus McNeill, tackle- San Diego Chargers McNeill started at left tackle in the Chargers’ 24-16 win over Oakland on Sunday. He was a big part in the 346 total yards that the Chargers amassed on the offensive side of the ball. Ben Obomanu, wide receiver-Seattle Seahawks Obomanu was Seattle’s kick returner in Seattle’s 38-17 loss to Dallas, but didn’t have any returns. Jonathan Palmer, tackle- Carolina Panthers Palmer was signed to the Panthers’ practice squad on Sept. 30. Jerraud Powers, defensive back- Indianapolis Colts Powers had four tackles, a forced and recovered fumble and a pass break-up in Indianapolis’ 18-14 win over San Francisco. The forced fumble came in the third quarter as he stripped Michael Crabtree and returned the fumble four yards. He has started five games as a rookie for the Colts. Jay Ratliff, defensive line- Dallas Cowboys Ratliff had three stops in Dallas’ 38-17 win over Seattle. He has had at least three tackles in four games this season. Tony Richardson, fullback- New York Jets Richardson had one catch for one yard in New York’s 30-25 loss to the Dolphins. He also served as the lead blocker for Thomas Jones, who had 102 yards on 27 carries. Carlos Rogers, defensive back-Washington Redskins Rogers and the Redskins had a week eight bye. Kendall Simmons, guard-New England Patriots The Patriots had a bye in week eight. Pat Sims, defensive line- Cincinnati Bengals The Bengals had a bye in week eight. Takeo Spikes, linebacker- San Francisco 49ers Spikes tied a season high with eight tackles in the 49ers’ 18-14 loss to the Colts. Reggie Torbor, linebacker- Miami Dolphins Torbor had a season-high seven tackles in a 30-25 loss to the Jets. His previous high in tackles this season was three. Jonathan Wilhite, defensive back- New England Patriots The Patriots had a bye in week eight. Carnell “Cadillac” Williams, running back-Tampa Bay Buccaneers The Bucs had a bye in week eight. |
