Reese Dismukes ready for action for Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn center Reese Dismukes was named a semifinalist Monday for the Lombardi Award, which is presented to the nation's best college offensive or defensive lineman or linebacker.

Dismukes has been the anchor of Auburn's offensive line a team-high 45 starts in his four-year career. He was there when Auburn led the nation in rushing last season and is part of the Tigers' 7-1 record and No. 3 national ranking this year.

A preseason nominee for the Lombardi, Rimington Award and the Outland Trophy, Dismukes joined quarterback Nick Marshall as a semifinalist for national honors Monday. Marshall was named a semifinalist for the Maxwell Award, which goes to the nation's top player.
