Auburn, Ala. -
Cool temperatures and rainy weather greeted the 23rd-ranked Auburn Tigers for their two-and-a-half hour workout on the outdoor practice fields behind the Auburn Athletic Complex Wednesday afternoon.
Head coach Tommy Tuberville said the Tigers spent time working on the kicking game Wednesday in preparation for their 5 p.m. game against the Ole Miss Rebels.
"Ole Miss does a lot of different things in the kicking game and we wanted to be prepared for it," Tuberville said .
The Rebels' Marshay Green enters this Saturday's game averaging 23.4 yards per kickoff return, while teammate Mike Wallace is averaging 22.4 yards per return.
Despite last week's loss to then No. 5 LSU, Tuberville noted the players' upbeat attitude in their preparation for this week's game.
"We're really proud of the guys the last two days," Tuberville added. "Their enthusiasm has been good all year. Sometimes you think a game like last week (LSU) would affect them more, but they have bounced back well and have practiced well this week."
