AUBURN - The No. 19/23 Auburn football took the outdoor practice fields Sunday night for a light practice session.
The Tigers (5-2, 3-1 SEC) practiced in helmets and shorts for 40 minutes as they began preparations for this Saturday's meeting with No. 1/2 LSU (7-0, 4-0 SEC).
Auburn is coming off a 17-6 home win over Florida. Auburn defensive coordinator Ted Roof said they team enjoyed the win last night, but knows they have a tough task ahead of them this week.
"I thought practice went well, our guys understand what is out in front of them this week," said Roof. "I thought the focus was good and at the same time we use it to correct a lot of the mistakes that we made last night and moving forward some of the things that we need to work on to be a better defense when we take the field next Saturday."
With Monday as the regular off day, Auburn will be back on the field on Tuesday evening to continue preparing for LSU.
Auburn and LSU will kick off at 2:30 p.m. in Tiger Stadium, a game that will be televised nationally by CBS.
Full season tickets for the 2011 season are sold out. Single-game tickets for Auburn's remaining home game against Ole Miss and Samford are still available. For information or to purchase visit or call 1-855-282-2010 or visit www.AUBTix.com.
