Auburn in the NFL - Week 6
Daren Bates (LB, St. Louis Rams)
Bates picked up a fumble during a Houston kick return and returned it for his first professional touchdown. The score helped the Rams defeat Houston 38-13. Bates has five total tackles and has played on special teams in all six games this season.
Rob Bironas (PK, Tennessee Titans)
Was 2-for-2 against the Seattle Seahawks, making field goals from 38 and 25 yards. He was also converted his only extra point opportunity. Bironas has hit 224 field goals in his NFL career at a rate of 85.2 percent.
Ronnie Brown (RB, San Diego Chargers)
Brown rushed for three yards on two attempts in the Chargers’ 19-9 defeat of the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football. He has recorded more than 7,000 total yards in his nine-year career with 40 touchdowns.
Josh Bynes (LB, Baltimore Ravens)
Bynes recorded four solo tackles and one pass deflection in the Ravens’ 19-17 defeat by Green Bay. Bynes has 33 tackles in 2013 and 67 stops in his three-year career.
Jason Campbell (QB, Cleveland Browns)
Did not play in the Browns’ 31-17 loss to the Lions. Campbell has 14,688 yards passing and 76 touchdowns in nine seasons in the NFL.
Karlos Dansby (LB, Arizona Cardinals)
Dansby recorded 11 tackles (nine solo) against the 49ers, making him the top tackler on the Cardinals with 57 total tackles and fourth overall in the league. He also assisted on a sack and had two pass deflections in Arizona’s 32-20 loss. Dansby has 942 tackles in his pro career.
King Dunlap (OT, San Diego Chargers)
Started against the Colts after missing two games from a concussion sustained late in Week 3 against the Titans. Blocked for running back Ryan Mathews as he totaled 102 yards for his first 100-yard game of the season. He has played in 56 games in his six year career.
Nick Fairley (DT, Detroit Lions)
Recorded three tackles (two solo) in the Lions’ 31-17 defeat of the Cleveland Browns. He has 60 tackles and eight sacks in his three-year career.
Tyronne Green (OG, New England Patriots)
Placed on the injured reserve on August 15 with an undisclosed injury.
Quentin Groves (LB, Cleveland Browns)
Did not play for the fourth-straight week after sustaining an ankle injury at Baltimore in Week 2. Groves has recorded 155 tackles, 7.5 sacks and two interceptions in his six seasons in the NFL.
Ben Grubbs (OG, New Orleans Saints)
Started in the Saints’ 30-27 defeat by New England. Grubbs has started 91 of his 95 career games played for Baltimore and New Orleans.
Josh Harris (LS, Atlanta Falcons)
The Falcons were on a bye week during Week 6 and will face Tampa Bay next week. Harris has played in all 20 games since joining the league as an undrafted free agent in 2012.
Will Herring (LB, New Orleans Saints)
Recorded one tackle on special teams against the Bears. Herring has 134 tackles in seven seasons.
Brandon Jacobs (RB, New York Giants)
Jacobs recorded 106 yards rushing on 22 attempts and two touchdowns Thursday night against the Bears. He added one reception for eight yards. Jacobs has rushed for more than 5,000 yards and 59 touchdowns in his NFL career.
Corey Lemonier (LB, San Francisco 49ers)
Lemonier recorded three solo tackles, his first career sack, one forced fumble, and a safety Sunday against the Cardinals. He sacked Carson Palmer in the end zone in the second quarter for the safety and stripped the ball later in the fourth quarter. Lemonier has nine total tackles through the first five games of his rookie season.
Sen’Derrick Marks (DT, Jacksonville Jaguars)
Had one solo tackle and knocked down Peyton Manning twice in the Jaguars’ 35-19 loss to the Broncos. In his first season with Jacksonville, Marks has 14 tackles through Week 6. Marks has recorded 113 tackles and four sacks in his five professional seasons.
Brandon Mosley (OG, New York Giants)
Saw action for the third-straight week while the Giants were defeated by Chicago 27-21. Mosley missed all of 2012 due to injury after being selected in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
Cam Newton (QB, Carolina Panthers)
Newton was 20-of-26 for 242 yards and three touchdowns, he also rushed nine times for 30 yards and a touchdown. The top overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, Newton has 9,047 yards passing with 49 touchdowns along with 1,600 yards rushing and 24 touchdowns in his career. His 10,375 combined passing and rushing yards are the most ever for a quarterback in his first 36 career games.
Jerraud Powers (CB, Arizona Cardinals)
Recorded four solo tackles in the Cardinals’ loss to San Francisco. He has 21 tackles and six pass deflections this season. Powers has 231 tackles and six interceptions in five seasons in the league.
Jay Ratliff (NT, Dallas Cowboys)
Remains on the Cowboys’ physically unable to perform (PUP) list with a hamstring injury and is not expected to return until Week 7. Ratliff has 228 tackles with 27.0 sacks in nine years with the Cowboys.
Carlos Rogers (CB, San Francisco 49ers)
Rogers recorded eight tackles (seven solo) and had two pass deflections and his first interception of the season in the 49ers’ victory over the Cardinals. He has 15 tackles and three pass deflections this season. A former Pro Bowl selection, Rogers has 413 tackles and 16 interceptions in nine seasons in the NFL.
Pat Sims (DT, Oakland Raiders)
Did not record any statistics in the Raiders’ loss to the Chiefs. Sims has 152 tackles and five sacks in his career.
Ben Tate (RB, Houston Texans)
Recorded 12 yards rushing on 10 attempts and a touchdown against the Rams as well as three receptions for 16 yards. He has 1,489 yards and seven touchdowns in his career. Tate has totaled 268 yards on 51 attempts so far in 2013.
