Devin Aromashodu, wide receiver- Chicago Bears Aromashodu was a healthy scratch for the Bears in week five. Rob Bironas, kicker- Tennessee Titans Bironas accounted for all nine Tennessee points in a 31-9 loss to Indianapolis Sunday, hitting field goals from 49, 43, and 46 yards. Ronnie Brown, running back- Miami Dolphins Brown nabbed the team's first touchdown on the opening drive and the game-sealing score with six seconds left. The Fins' running game gashed the Jets' 15th-ranked rush defense. Overall, he rushed 21 times for 74 yards and two touchdowns in the Dolphins' Monday night win. Jason Campbell, quarterback-Washington Redskins Campbell completed 17-of-23 passes for 145 yards in a 20-17 loss to Carolina. He also had a pair of rushes for four yards. Karlos Dansby, linebacker-Arizona Cardinals Coming off a bye week, Dansby had seven solo stops in the Cardinals’ 28-21 win over Houston. Tim Duckworth, offensive line- New Orleans Saints Duckworth and the Saints had a bye in week five. King Dunlap, offensive line- Philadelphia Eagles Dunlap saw his first action of the season in week five, as the Eagles implemented a three-guard rotation on their offensive line. The Eagles defeated the Bucs 33-14. Heath Evans, running back- New Orleans Saints Evans and the Saints had a bye week in week five. Tyrone Green, guard- San Diego Chargers The Chargers had a bye in week five. Quentin Groves, defensive end- Jacksonville Jaguars Groves did not record any stats in a 41-0 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday.
Ben Grubbs, guard-Baltimore Ravens Grubbs started at right guard in a 17-14 loss to Cincinnati as the Ravens racked up 257 yards of total offense. Will Herring, linebacker-Seattle Seahawks Herring started at outside linebacker, and recorded a solo tackle in the 41-0 shutout of the Jaguars. Kevin Hobbs, defensive back- Detroit Lions Hobbs was inactive for the Lions in Detroit’s loss to the Steelers. Brandon Jacobs, running back- New York Giants Jacobs had 22 touches for a total of 75 yards on Sunday in a 44-7 defeat of Oakland. Spencer Johnson, defensive lineman-Buffalo Bills Johnson had a solo and assisted tackle in a 6-3 loss to Cleveland on Sunday. Patrick Lee, defensive back-Green Bay Packers Lee was placed on injured reserve on Sept. 5 with a knee injury, ending his season. Sen’Derrick Marks, defensive lineman-Tennessee Titans Marks recorded his first career tackle in a loss to Jacksonville in week four. He did not record any tackles in week five against the Colts in a 31-9 loss. Marcus McNeill, tackle- San Diego Chargers The Chargers had a week five bye. Ben Obomanu, wide receiver-Seattle Seahawks For the third week in a row, Obomanu had a kick-off return for 25 yards in a 41-0 victory over the Jaguars. Jonathan Palmer, tackle- Carolina Panthers Palmer was signed to the Panthers’ practice squad on Sept. 30. Jerraud Powers, defensive back- Indianapolis Colts Powers had four solo tackles and two assisted tackles in a 31-9 win over Tennessee. He also had a pass breakup in the first quarter. Jay Ratliff, defensive line- Dallas Cowboys Ratliff had four solo tackles in an overtime victory over the Chiefs. He also made what proved to be a game-saving play, as he blocked a 53-yard field goal attempt with 3:15 remaining in regulation to send the game into the extra frame. Tony Richardson, fullback- New York Jets Richardson was the primary lead blocker for Jets tailback Thomas Jones, who rushed for 42 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries in Monday night's defeat. Carlos Rogers, defensive back-Washington Redskins Rogers had a pair of solo stops in a 20-17 loss to Carolina. He also broke up a pass in the four quarter. Kendall Simmons, guard-New England Patriots Simmons, who missed all of last season with the Steelers due to a torn Achilles tendon, signed a three-year, $2.555 million contract with the Patriots on Sept. 9. He has been inactive for all of the Patriot’s contests this season. Pat Sims, defensive line- Cincinnati Bengals Sims had five solo stops in a 17-14 win over Baltimore on Sunday. Takeo Spikes, linebacker- San Francisco 49ers Spikes had six tackles in San Francisco’s 45-10 loss to Atlanta. Reggie Torbor, linebacker- Miami Dolphins Torbor had a pair of solo tackles in Miami’s 31-27 win over the Jets on Monday night. Jonathan Wilhite, defensive back- New England Patriots Wilhite had two solo stops in New England’s 20-17 loss to Denver on Sunday. Carnell “Cadillac” Williams, running back-Tampa Bay Buccaneers Williams had 10 carries for eight yards and three catches for eight yards in Sunday's loss to the Eagles. |
