AUBURN - The No. 20 Auburn football team practiced for a little more than an hour and a half at the practice fields behind the Athletics Complex Thursday morning in the final workout prior to Saturday's SEC game against Arkansas.

Working in shells, the Tigers worked extensively on special teams to open practice. The squad then split into offensive and defensive units to work against the scout teams for the remainder of practice.

Following practice, head coach Tommy Tuberville said the team is anxious to play Arkansas and put last week's 14-13 loss to Vanderbilt behind them.

"Today we had a very good and enthusiastic practice," said Tuberville. "The guys are excited about getting back out on the field after last week's game in which we didn't play that well. We have a good game plan and worked on every phase again today. The guys were into it. There are a lot of things we had to catch up with.

"The mentality of the team is great. They understand the challenge they have in front of them. But it is a home game, it's a conference game and this game is always a very good game. It's always a hard hitter, and it's one of those that we have to try to improve in."

Auburn (4-2, 2-2 SEC) and Arkansas (2-3, 0-2 SEC) are both looking to rebound from losses against nationally-ranked teams, as the Razorbacks have actually dropped three straight - all against ranked teams. Auburn is 9-1 since 2004 in its first game after a loss, including a 14-12 victory over Tennessee earlier this season.

Saturday's game begins at 4 p.m. CT at Pat Dye Field at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The game will be available on a pay-per-view basis in the states of Alabama and Arkansas to cable subscribers and small dish owners who subscribe to DirecTV or Dish Network. Fans should contact their local cable provider or small dish provider to order the game.
