Auburn in the NFL - Week 5
Daren Bates (LB, St. Louis Rams)
Bates recorded one solo tackle on a kick return against the Jaguars in the second quarter. He has five total tackles and has played on special teams in all five games this season.
Rob Bironas (PK, Tennessee Titans)
Was 1-for-2 against the Kansas City Chiefs, making a third quarter field goal from 22 yards. Bironas has hit 222 field goals in his NFL career at a rate of 85.1 percent.
Ronnie Brown (RB, San Diego Chargers)
Brown rushed for 11 yards on seven attempts and caught three passes for 21 yards in the Chargers’ defeat by the Oakland Raiders. He has recorded more than 7,000 total yards in his nine-year career with 40 touchdowns.
Josh Bynes (LB, Baltimore Ravens)
Bynes recorded two tackles (one solo) and one pass deflection in the Ravens’ 26-23 victory over Miami. Bynes has 63 tackles in his three year career.
Jason Campbell (QB, Cleveland Browns)
Did not play in the Browns’ 37-24 victory over the Bills. Campbell has 14,688 yards passing and 76 touchdowns in his career.
Karlos Dansby (LB, Arizona Cardinals)
Dansby recorded eight solo tackles against the Panthers, making him the top tackler on the Cardinals with 45 total tackles. He also recorded two sacks, a pass deflection and a late fourth quarter interception to help Arizona win 22-6. Dansby has more than 900 tackles in his pro career.
King Dunlap (OT, San Diego Chargers)
Did not play against the Raiders after suffering a concussion late in Week 3 against the Titans. Dunlap is expected to play next week against Indianapolis.
Nick Fairley (DT, Detroit Lions)
Recorded one solo tackle in the Lions’ 22-9 loss to the Green Bay Packers. He has 57 tackles and eight sacks in his three-year career.
Tyronne Green (OG, New England Patriots)
Placed on the injured reserve on August 15 with an undisclosed injury.
Quentin Groves (LB, Cleveland Browns)
Did not play for the third straight week after sustaining an ankle injury at Baltimore in Week 2. Groves has recorded 155 tackles, 7.5 sacks and two interceptions in his six seasons in the NFL.
Ben Grubbs (OG, New Orleans Saints)
Started in the Saints’ 26-18 victory over Chicago. Grubbs has started 90 of his 94 career games played for Baltimore and New Orleans.
Josh Harris (LS, Atlanta Falcons)
Played against the New York Jets on Monday Night Football, snapping the ball on four extra points and two punts. He has played in all 20 games since joining the league in 2012.
Will Herring (LB, New Orleans Saints)
Did not record any statistics on special teams against the Bears. Herring has 133 tackles in seven seasons.
Brandon Jacobs (RB, New York Giants)
Jacobs recorded 11 carries for 37 yards Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. Jacobs has rushed for more than 4,800 yards and 57 touchdowns in his NFL career.
Corey Lemonier (LB, San Francisco 49ers)
Recorded two solo tackles in the 49ers’ 34-3 victory over Houston. Lemonier has six total tackles through the first five games of his rookie season.
Sen’Derrick Marks (DT, Jacksonville Jaguars)
Had four solo tackles and a sack against St. Louis. In his first season with Jacksonville, Marks has 13 tackles through Week 5. Marks has recorded 112 tackles and four sacks in his five professional seasons.
Brandon Mosley (OG, New York Giants)
Saw action for the second straight week while the Giants were defeated by Philadelphia, 36-21. Mosley missed all of 2012 due to injury after being selected in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
Cam Newton (QB, Carolina Panthers)
Newton was 21-of-39 for 308 yards and threw three interceptions in a 22-6 loss to Arizona. He also recorded 25 yards rushing on four attempts. The top overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, Newton has 8,805 yards passing with 46 touchdowns along with 1,570 yards rushing and 23 touchdowns in his career.
Jerraud Powers (CB, Arizona Cardinals)
Recorded three tackles (two solo) and two pass deflections in the Cardinals’ victory over the Panthers. He has 17 tackles and six pass deflections this season. Powers has 227 tackles and six interceptions in five seasons in the league.
Jay Ratliff (NT, Dallas Cowboys)
Remains on the Cowboys’ physically unable to perform (PUP) list with a hamstring injury and is not expected to return until Week 7. Ratliff has 228 tackles with 27.0 sacks in nine years with the Cowboys.
Carlos Rogers (CB, San Francisco 49ers)
Rogers recorded five tackles (three solo) in the 49ers’ 34-3 victory over Houston. He has seven tackles and one pass deflection this season. A former Pro Bowl selection, Rogers has 405 tackles and 15 interceptions in nine seasons in the NFL.
Pat Sims (DT, Oakland Raiders)
Recorded two tackles (one solo) in the Raiders’ 27-17 victory over the Chargers. Sims has 152 tackles and five sacks in his career.
Ben Tate (RB, Houston Texans)
Recorded 27 yards rushing on seven attempts against the 49ers as well as two receptions for 12 yards. He has 1,447 yards and six touchdowns in his career. Tate has totaled 256 yards on 41 attempts so far in 2013.
