AUBURN, Ala. — The Southeastern Conference is dominating the Top 25 polls this week with eight entries, and nobody is filing up the rankings more than the SEC West.
Auburn is again ranked No. 5, and is one of six West Division teams ranked in the polls that were released Sunday.
Auburn is coming off a 20-14 Thursday night win over then-No. 20 Kansas State. The Wildcats remained in the Top 25 this week, coming in at 25th.
Mississippi State used its 34-29 upset win over LSU on Saturday to join the crowded SEC Top 25 clubhouse. For Auburn, that means eight of its 12 opponents are currently ranked.  The ranked opponents in the coaches poll are No. 2 Alabama, No. 7 Texas A&M, No. 11 Ole Miss, No. 13 Georgia, No. 15 South Carolina, No. 16 Mississippi State, No. 18 LSU and No. 25 Kansas State.
Auburn will venture out of its Top 25 opponents this Saturday to play Louisiana Tech at 3 p.m. in Jordan-Hare Stadium. It's homecoming.
