Auburn's Cody Parkey one of national kickers of week

AUBURN, Ala. — Cody Parkey added three more field goals to his collection Saturday, and that helped him earn one of the national Lou Groza place-kicker stars of the week awards Monday. 

Parkey hit field goals of 40, 19 and 47 yards in the 24-20 win over Mississippi State. He's hit 7-of-8 field goal tries this season, including a career-long 47-yarder. 

 The Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award names three stars each week. 

Also honored were Rice's Chris Boswell and Oregon State's Trevor Romaine. Boswell kicked three field goals in a win a 23-14 win over Kansas, including a 56-yard, his 12th of more than 50 yards in his career. He's hit 4-of-5 field goal tries this season. Romaine made three field goal in Oregon State's 51-48 overtime win over Utah. He kicked a career-best 49-yarder. 

The Lou Groza Award will be presented Dec. 12th in Orlando.
