Auburn Football Practice Report
Sept. 5, 2010
AUBURN - The Auburn football team opened game-week preparations for the 2010 SEC opener with a 70-minute practice in cool temperatures that hovered in the low 70's Sunday evening. The Tigers' offensive and defensive units worked against the scout teams and mixed in positional and special teams drills during the Sunday practice session. "We spent part of our time today getting mistakes corrected from the Arkansas State game last night," said Ted Roof, Auburn's defensive coordinator. "But, we put that to bed and have started our initial preparation for Mississippi State. The coaches are getting the schedule mapped out for us this week and it is our job to get them ready to play." The Tigers are coming off a 52-26 win over Arkansas State on Saturday in the season-opener. Auburn is now 91-25-2 all-time in season-opening games and Gene Chizik is 2-0 as Auburn's head coach in the openers. With the abbreviated week ahead, Auburn will return to the practice fields at 6 p.m., Monday to continue preparation for Mississippi State. The Tigers will travel to Starkville, Miss., for their first road game of the season, Thursday, Sept. 9 at Mississippi State. Start time for the game is set for 6:30 p.m. CT, and will air nationally on ESPN.
A limited number of season, mini-season and single-game tickets are still available. For more information, please visit www.auburntigers.com or call 1-800-AUB-1957. |
