The No. 17/13 Auburn football team continued preparations for Saturday's showdown with South Florida with a two-hour practice in full pads on Wednesday at the practice fields behind the Athletic Complex.
Wednesday's practice started with special teams drills, before the team broke into position work. The Tigers also did team work as well as skelly drills before finishing with field goals.
"We've had three good practices in a row," Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville said. "It has been a hard work week for the guys. I think there has been a lot of good consistency. It has cooled off, which has enabled guys to keep their concentration better."
Auburn will put the finishing touches on its preparation for South Florida on Thursday morning when the Tigers return to the practice fields at 8:50 a.m. CT.
Saturday's game marks the first meeting between the Tigers (1-0) and Bulls (1-0). Auburn plays its second straight nationally-televised game with the team's kickoff at 8 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
Individual tickets to the South Florida game are currently available for $45, and tickets are also available for home games against Mississippi State, New Mexico State, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss and Tennessee Tech. To purchase tickets log on to www.autigertickets.com or call 1-800-AUB-1957.
