Duke Williams has jumped from junior college to the starting lineup

AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn has paired tall-and-fast wide receivers Sammie Coates and Duke Williams in its starting lineup. Look out, Coates is Auburn's leading returning receiver and Williams was the No. 1 junior college player in the nation last year.
That's going up top. On the ground, Corey Grant and Cameron Artis-Payne are listed as co-starters at running back in the Tigers' first depth chart of the fall, released Tuesday leading up to Saturday's season-opener against Arkansas.
A couple of notable depth chart winners: Rudy Ford, signed as a running back in 2013, is the starting boundary safety. True freshman Braden Smith, who earned all sorts of superhero nicknames for his strength, is the No. 2 left tackle behind Shon Coleman.
Nick Marshall, who won't start Saturday, is listed above Jeremy Johnson on the quarterback depth chart.
There are three "ors" on the depth chart: Grant and Artis Payne, Ricardo Louis and Quan Bray at wide receiver, and C.J. Uzomah and Brandon Fulse at tight end/H-back.
