Tigers Prep for First Day of Full Pads
Aug. 9, 2003
AUBURN -- Head Coach Tommy Tuberville said that he liked his team's attitude after a two hour practice in shells Saturday. Auburn's players worked with their position coaches before using the last part of practice for full team work.
"We had a good practice today," Tuberville said. "We had a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of players giving good effort. If we keep to practicing like this, we have a chance. We just need to keep everybody out there practicing as much as we can. We have a few bumps and bruises. We're starting to work on situational practices- first and ten, third and long, blitz period and all of those things. That's going to be our main focus going into next week's two-a-days."
Auburn will use the afternoon to participate in Fan Day from 1-3 p.m. at Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum.
The Tigers will practice in full gear for the first time Sunday at 4:55 p.m. at the Intramural Fields. The team will attend church together Sunday morning.
