Auburn, Ala. - Raycom Sports' Emmy Award-winning summer television series, "Havoline Football Saturdays in the South," continues this weekend. This is the second of six one-hour episodes, hosted by Tim Brando and syndicated in 60 markets throughout the greater southeast and Atlantic coast. This weekend, go behind the scenes for Auburn's "Flight of War Eagle," with the tradition tracing its roots back to 1892. Roy Crowe of the Southeastern Raptor Center and his staff let fans follow along as they prepare War Eagle for the pregame flight before an Auburn football game. Then, legendary Georgia announcer Larry Munson was the voice of the Bulldogs from 1966 until his retirement last season. In his own words, hear how he arrived at his broadcasting position after stints as a fishing show host and a pianist for the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. And hear from others how he left in indelible mark on the fans of Georgia for the past 43 years. Relive some of his memorable calls as he became one of college football's greatest announcers. The show also brings fans the Emmy Award-winning segment on the history of Skipper, the Virginia Tech cannon fired before each game. A friendly rivalry with VMI led two enterprising Hokie students to start the tradition 46 years ago. Learn about how it came to be and how it became a tribute to President John F. Kennedy. And meet Kevin Plank, founder and CEO of Under Armour. A former walk-on and special team captain at the University of Maryland, he grew his passion for football into one of the world's leading sports apparel companies.
