AUBURN, Ala. ― Auburn's Cassanova McKinzy continued to receive preseason acclaim Tuesday, landing a spot on the watch lists for two prestigious national awards while seeing teammates Avery Young, Kris Frost and Carl Lawson win recognition, too.

McKinzy appeared on the watch lists Tuesday for the Lombardi Award, which goes to the nation's best lineman or linebacker; and the Butkus Award, which goes to the nation's top linebacker. He's on the watch list for the Bronko Nagurski Award, which was announced last week.

Frost, McKinzy's linebacker mate, also appears on the watch list for the Butkus Award, as does lineman Carl Lawson, who will assume a new role by playing outside linebacker on occasion.

Young, an offensive lineman, also appears on the watch list for the Lombardi Award.

McKinzy had 166 tackles the last two season, leading Auburn with 75 in 2013 and recording a second-best 91 in 2014.
