Auburn Football Illustrated Named `Best In The Nation' By CoSIDA
June 22, 2007 AUBURN - The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) have announced that Auburn Football Illustrated, the official game day publication of Auburn football, has been voted "Best In The Nation." The 216-page program is distributed at Auburn home games and was published eight times in 2006. Main features in the publication include senior profiles - Courtney Taylor, Will Herring and Ben Grubbs were among those featured last season - as well as Tiger Flashbacks, "Where Are They Now" stories on former players, Olympic sport features and a "Tiger Tracks" section that highlights on and off the field facets of Auburn football. Also included in each program is all the game day information fans need to know. Game day information highlights that game's schedule of events, news and notes focusing on the Tigers and their opponent, rosters, depth charts and Southeastern Conference standings and statistics. Head shots of Auburn players and Auburn University news articles are also included in each issue. Mike Hubbard, president of the Auburn ISP Sports Network, is publisher of Auburn Football Illustrated. Kirk Sampson, assistant athletics director of media relations, serves as the associate publisher, while Hank Hager, assistant director of media relations, is the program editor. Brad Gust, associate director of media relations, serves as assistant editor while Pamela Welch, who is Auburn's graphics designer, provided cover designs for all eight issues. Voting is conducted by a CoSIDA committee. Clemson finished second in the voting followed by Ohio State at No. 3.
