AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn fans, you can now plan your Saturdays accordingly for the first three weekends in September. ESPN and the SEC Network announced Thursday the network’s schedule for the first three weekends of the 2018 season.
The season opener, the Chick-fil-A Kickoff game in Atlanta on Sept. 1, is expected to kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT and will be televised on ABC. Auburn will play Washington in a potential matchup of top-10 teams, and it will also be the first meeting ever between the two schools.
This marks the third time the Tigers have played in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff game and their third straight game at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The following weekend, Auburn will play their first home game of the season against Alabama State at 6:30 p.m. CT on the SEC Network’s alternate channel.
And as previously announced Wednesday, Auburn’s matchup with LSU on Sept. 15 inside Jordan-Hare Stadium is slated for 2:30 p.m. and will be televised by CBS as the “SEC Game of the Week" with Brad Nessler, Gary Danielson and Allie LaForce on the call.
Sept. 1: vs. Washington (in Atlanta), 2:30 p.m. CT, ABC
Sept. 8: vs. Alabama State, 6:30 p.m. CT, SEC Network Alternate
Sept. 15: vs. LSU, 2:30 p.m. CT, CBS
Times and TV networks for the remaining games on the schedule have not yet been announced.
