The Auburn Tigers won their second national championship in their storied football history by beating Oregon in the 2011 BCS National Championship Game in Glendale, Arizona. Now, fans can see a retrospective of the Tigers' 14-0 season in 2010 under head coach Gene Chizik in the Auburn University® National Champions Football Vault® produced by Whitman Publishing of Atlanta.
Designed as a treasured scrapbook and produced in collaboration with the Auburn University athletic department, the 144-page narrative takes Tiger fans through each of the 14 games of the 2010 season, with full-color action photographs, recaps, statistics and memorabilia from the department's archives. Special attention is paid to the 2011 BCS National Championship Game, the Tigers' SEC Championship Game victory over South Carolina and Auburn's historic rally to beat rival Alabama in the 2010 Iron Bowl in Tuscaloosa.
Tucked into sleeves and pockets are amazing removable replicas waiting to be discovered, such as game program covers and tickets from each of the games played during the season, a flip card and Auburn's postgame notes from the thrilling BCS title game, the All-America certificates for quarterback Cam Newton and defensive lineman Nick Fairley, a play-by-play sheet of the third and fourth quarters against Alabama, a replica of the poster handed out at the Tigers' national championship celebration at Jordan-Hare Stadium and other surprises.
