A-Day Rosters Get Acrobat Reader

AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn football team held its final practice prior to Saturday's A-Day game with a workout in shells that lasted a little more than two hours Friday morning at the practice fields behind the Athletics Complex.

Most of the practice followed the typical routine that included individual, position, team and special teams drills. The Tigers concluded practice with a walk-through to ensure that the players were familiar with the format that will be used for the A-Day game.

The game will feature four 12-minute quarters with the team being split into a blue and white squad.

Following practice, head coach Gene Chizik said that Friday's workout was a tune-up for Saturday's spring game.

"Today was kind of a polish-up day getting ready for A-Day tomorrow," said Chizik. "Obviously it's going to be a big day for everybody and hopefully our players and fans will be excited. We did some walk-throughs so that schematically tomorrow we're going to know who goes where."

Auburn's A-Day game will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. CT in Jordan-Hare Stadium. The game will be televised live by ESPNU. On the air waves, fans can listen to the game locally on WKKR 97.7 FM.

All tickets are $5 and are general admission seats. Tickets can be purchased on game day at the stadium. Game day sales will be cash/check only.

Auburn University students presenting their Auburn Ignited card will receive free admission and will enter at the student gates on the stadium's east side.

A Punt, Pass and Kick Contest for ages 8-13 will be held on the football practice fields behind the Football Complex from 10 a.m-noon. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the first 250 participants will receive a free t-shirt. The winners from each age group will be recognized on the field at Jordan-Hare Stadium during halftime of the A-Day game.

The Tiger Fan Fest, featuring inflatable games, sponsor sampling, face painting, and appearances by the Auburn cheerleaders, Tiger Paws and Aubie will be located on the Athletic Complex Football Practice Fields from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Entrance to the punt, pass and kick competition and Tiger Team Village is located off Biggio Drive.

A free post-game autograph session with Head Coach Gene Chizik, the Auburn coaching staff and players will be held on Pat Dye Field inside Jordan-Hare Stadium following the game.
