    Auburn Football Practice Report

    April 12, 2010

AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn football team started A-Day week Monday morning with a practice that lasted a little more than two hours under sunny skies at the Athletics Complex practice fields.

The Tigers continued to work on all aspects of their game, including individual, position and team work as well as special teams, as the team preapres for Saturday's A-Day scrimmage at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Following practice, head coach Gene Chizik noted that despite entering their fourth week of spring practice, the Tigers still responded with a good workout.

"I thought it was a really, really good tempo," said Chizik. "When you get to practice 11 in spring ball, you have to worry about the tempo going down and things of that nature. They players are tired and they're a little bit beat up. But I thought today the tempo was really good. We got some things accomplished out there."

Chizik also noted that this final full week of spring practice may be the most crucial of them all.

"This is a really critical week," said Chizik. "Week four is a week of nothing but urgency with spring practice, because you can't let them look forward to getting it over with and all those things that naturally come with this time of the year. Today was about urgency and today was about really focusing and trying to get better at our trade."

The Tigers will return to the practice fields Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. CT.

Auburn's A-Day game will be held on Saturday, April 17, at 1 p.m. CT in Jordan-Hare Stadium. Tickets are $5 for general fans and free for AU students with an Auburn Ignited card.

All tickets are general admission and can be purchased prior to game day at the Auburn Ticket Office located in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., and on game day beginning at 8 a.m.
