Auburn Football Practice Report
March 15, 2006 AUBURN - Closing in on the conclusion of spring practice, the Auburn football team participated in a two-hour workout in shells Wednesday afternoon at the practice fields behind the Athletic Complex.
"This was a very good practice today -- one of our better ones," head coach Tommy Tuberville said. "We have worked a lot more on fundamentals the last few days and we finished off with some team work. We have been putting a lot on our offense and have kept their heads spinning, but that is good. They are having to work and struggle for every yard they get and there has been some great competition."
The team started out practice with punting and special teams and moved on to individual drills before wrapping up with team work and field goals.
"Tomorrow we will come out and do about the same thing in full pads," Tuberville said. "It has been a good spring and we have had good weather. We have kept the guys' attention, which is great because sometimes at this time of the year, it is tough to keep. What we are doing on both sides of the ball has kept their attention and they have responded."
Thursday's practice is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. CT. Auburn's annual spring football game, A-Day, will be held March 18 at 1 p.m. CT at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
General public tickets for Saturday's game are sold out while a limited number of student tickets are available. Auburn University student tickets are $1 each and can be purchased at the Auburn Ticket Office located in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum. Students must present a valid ID and are limited to purchasing one ticket.
