Auburn Football Practice Report
March 8, 2006 Auburn, Ala. - The Auburn football team went through a physical two-hour practice Wednesday on the Athletic Complex practice fields, which included six periods of team work to close out the session. The team periods included several plays in goal line situations. "There was a little more contact today," Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville said after practice. "We had a goal line session at the end that wasn't live all the way. One thing we wanted to do today was mix up the run and the pass. We did a lot more blitz. We looked pretty good. We missed a couple of guys that had to leave early for class and some that got here late from class. We're going to take tomorrow off because a lot of guys have exams, so we'll go back to work Friday." After opening the eighth spring practice with individual work for the first 45 minutes of practice, Auburn spent time on team work including a blitz session, before concluding with skelly drills and team drills. After taking Thursday off, Auburn will return to the practice fields on Friday at 3:15 p.m. before scrimmaging Saturday morning. Auburn's annual spring football game, A-Day, will be held March 18 at 1 p.m. (CT) at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
