  • Auburn fans may now begin voting for the Auburn football "Team of the Decade" for the 2000's at AuburnTigers.com. Voting will take place during the month of March, with the team being announced in April and formally recognized at A-Day on April 17.

    The team will consist of 25 players, including 11 on offense, 11 on defense and three specialists.

    The decade of the 2000's saw Auburn compile an 89-35 record, including a perfect season and Southeastern Conference title in 2004, along with nine bowl appearances and five SEC Western Division titles.

    From 2000-09, Auburn had seven All-Americans, including LB Karlos Dansby (2003), PK Damon Duval (2001), OG Ben Grubbs (2006), OT Marcus McNeill (2004, '05), CB Carlos Rogers (2004), DB Junior Rosegreen (2004), and RB Carnell Williams (2004). Rogers was named the 2004 Thorpe Award winner as the nation's top defensive back.

    During the decade, 27 players earned a combined 34 first-team All-SEC honors, four were named SEC Player of the Year, and one was named the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
