Auburn, Ala. -
On the eve of its first scrimmage of Spring drills, the Auburn football team worked for nearly two hours Friday on the Athletic Complex practice fields. The 20-period session was primarily dedicated to position drills with minimal full team work, as nearly 600 high school coaches looked on. Auburn held its annual coaching clinic Thursday and Friday.
"We had a good practice today," said Auburn Head Coach Tommy Tuberville. "There was a lot of intensity. It always helps to have all these coaches out here. We had 550-600 coaches. We're improving every year and our clinic continues to grow.
"Tomorrow we'll scrimmage and work on the kicking game. A lot of the guys will be under the gun for the first time, but hopefully we'll get something out of it. It will be a full go."
Auburn will scrimmage on Saturday morning beginning at 10 a.m. CT at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The scrimmage is open to the public. The general public entrance will be located at Gate 9 (South Service Entrance) with designated seating in sections 24-27 (East side).
