Jacobs Helps Giants to Super Bowl Win

INDIANAPOLIS – Former Auburn Tiger Brandon Jacobs earned his second Super Bowl victory on Sunday as he helped the New York Giants to a 21-17 win over the New England Patriots.
It marks the sixth consecutive year that Auburn has had a former player on a Super Bowl winning team.
Jacobs rushed for 37 yards on nine carries on Sunday. He totaled 571 yards on the ground and seven touchdowns during the 2011 season.
A native of Houma, La., Jacobs spent the 2003 season at Auburn after transferring from Coffeyville Community College. Jacobs rushed for 446 yards on 72 carries, averaging 6.2 yards per carry and scoring three touchdowns in 2003.
He was also a member of New York’s Super Bowl XLII winning team in 2008.
