AUBURN, Ala. - When Auburn's football team returned on Tuesday night from its gut-wrenching 34-31 loss to Florida State in the BCS National Championship Game, fans were waiting in sub-freezing weather.
The Tigers were greeted by a large crowd at their indoor practice facility.
Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn, seniors Jay Prosch and Chris Davis and athletics director Jay Jacobs spoke to the crowd.
The Tigers finished the season 12-2 and ranked No. 2 in the polls after Florida State scored in the final seconds Monday night to win the national championship.
