Auburn's Courtney Taylor was named the 2007 Cotton Bowl Offensive MVP while Will Herring was selected as the Defensive MVP.
Auburn is now 18-13-2 all-time in bowl games, and 4-3 in bowl games under Tommy Tuberville.
Auburn is now 1-1 all-time in the Cotton Bowl. The Tigers lost to Texas A&M, 36-16, in the 1986 50th annual Cotton Bowl in 1986 before defeating Nebraska, 17-14, today.

Auburn's senior class now has 41 wins over the past four seasons, extending their school record for victories over a four-year period. The Tigers also have now won a school-record 33 games over the past three seasons.
Auburn finished the season with 11 victories. It marked just the fourth time in Auburn history that the Tigers won 11 or more games in a season (13 in 2004, 11 in 1983 and 1993).
Today's game was the 100th at Auburn for Tommy Tuberville. The Tigers are 71-29 during his eighth seasons at the helm.
Auburn's 178 yards total offense vs. Nebraska were the second fewest number of yards for the Tigers this season. Auburn only had 171 yards total offense in a 37-15 loss to Georgia Nov. 11 and had 182 yards total offense in a 7-3 win over #6 LSU Sept. 16.
It marked the fourth time this season the Auburn defense has allowed only 230 or fewer yards. In addition to limiting Nebraska to 230 yards total offense today, other notable Tiger total offense defensive efforts came against Arkansas State (155), Mississippi State (161) and Buffalo (198).
Nebraska scored the game's first points. Auburn's is now 4-2 when its opponents score first , having previously come from behind in wins against LSU, Ole Miss and Alabama.
Auburn's first two scoring drives covered nine and 14 yards after Nebraska turnovers. Four of Auburn's last five touchdown drives have come after turnovers and covered fewer than 30 yards including the regular-season finale at Alabama.
The score was tied at 14-14 at the half. It marked the second time this season Auburn was tied at halftime. The Tigers were tied with Ole Miss 7-7 at the half before earning a 23-17 victory.
Auburn led 17-14 at the end of the third quarter. The Tigers are now 11-0 this season when leading after three quarters.
Auburn rolled up 113 yards of offense and eight first downs in the third quarter after totaling just 46 yards of offense and three first downs during the entire first half.
Will Herring extended his Auburn record by making his 49th consecutive start. Herring broke the previous school record of 47 straight starts held by OL Jeno James (1996-99).
Courtney Taylor finished with six catches for 70 yards. Taylor now has 153 career catches, making him the school's all-time leader. Taylor broke the previous Auburn record of 150 catches set by Karsten Bailey (1995-98).
Karibi Dede's 52-yard interception return was the fourth-longest interception return in Cotton Bowl history. It was the second-longest interception return of the season for Auburn, trailing a 57-yard return by Zach Gilbert. It was Dede's first interception of the season and second of his career.
Carl Stewart's 9-yard touchdown reception from Brandon Cox in the first quarter was his second touchdown reception of the season.
Brandon Cox's touchdown pass was his 14th of the season, tying him for ninth on Auburn's single-season touchdown passes list. Cox now has 33 career touchdown tosses, which ranks fifth in school history.
Carl Stewart's 1-yard touchdown run in the second quarter was his third rushing touchdown of the season and his fifth touchdown scored this season. He now has nine career touchdowns scored.
Tristan Davis returned the kickoff to open the third quarter 43 yards. It marked the 10th game this season that he has had at least one kickoff return of 30 yards.
With two extra points, John Vaughn pushed his school-record total to 163 during his career, moving him up one spot to third in SEC history.
With a 42-yard field goal in the third quarter, John Vaughn became just the second Auburn player to make 20 field goals in a season. Scott Etheridge set the school record with 22 made field goals in 1992.
Vaughn finished with five points, pushing his career total to 312, which ranks tied for 12th in SEC history with Alabama's Van Tiffin (1983-86).
Will Herring had his 250th career tackle in the third quarter. He entered the game with 243 career tackles.
