Brett Whiteside serves as the director of recruiting operations for Auburn football, his second stint with the Tiger program. He worked with head coach Gus Malzahn as Director of Player Personnel at Arkansas State in 2012, coordinating the Red Wolves' team travel, assisting with on-campus recruiting and helping oversee the day-to-day operations of the ASU football program.
As a student recruiting assistant at Auburn from 2009-12, Whiteside helped with the recruiting effort of two of the top six recruiting classes in the nation, including the 2011 class, ranked No. 2 nationally and first in the Southeastern Conference. He was also instrumental in signing ASU's first recruiting class under head coach Gus Malzahn, which was ranked first in the Sun Belt Conference in 2012.
Originally from Gadsden, Ala., Whiteside graduated from Arkansas State in 2012 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with emphasis on business, education and mathematics. He graduated from Auburn University with a master's degree in Administration of Higher Education in August 2015. He is married to the former Natalie Slaten.
